mIRC

I am having problems finding a mIRC download. Everytime i download I get the
same thing when i try to open, I do not have permission and can not find a
path.


can someone please help me? I've been trying for over 6 months now and
nothing.

ok i have tried and tired that and still nothing all i get is
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have
the appropriate permissions to access the item."

and the comunity was no help

I assume you have the mirc install on your computer. Try setting the
Properties of the mirc install to XP compatible. Try running the install AS
ADMINISTRATOR.

it still does not work i still get the same code as posetd before this is
so irritating

It sounds as if you are using a limited account and not the Admin account to
have the appropriate privileges to run the application. I have mIRC 6.3
installed on my Vista machine with no issue.

i am the admin it is set on adminstrator

Only recent versions of mIRC are multi-user aware, and so do not write to
Program Files, which UAC does not allow. So make sure you have the latest
version.

Also, when people saying install as Admin, they mean right click the
downloaded installer, and Run As Admin. Retards have been running 2000/XP
as Admin in normal use, so we are all lumped with this UAC bull.

Maybe mentioning this is not a good idea, if you are a newbie, but I think
mIRC is a hell of a lot better with nnscript. Not only does it look a lot
better, you get a lot more functionality.

i got it to work thinks to a friend of mine. it was my security that was the
problem. all i had to do was shut down my security before downlad then enale
it back after. it is working fine
