Misplaced Update File

A folder has appeared on one of my removable drives with the following name

afc6173374b6ac6a38a93768e7b5d0d7

It contains a subfolder 'update' and 20 files which I think must be the
result of an auto update on the 4 December. Examples of a couple of the
files are

shdocvw.dll
mshtml.dll.

Not knowing what these file are etc I have not touched them but as they were
on a removable drive, I took the drive out and restarted and all was OK. I
plugged into MS updates to see whether any updates were now missing and no
nothing was. The idea being that they would be recognised as missing and be
downloaded into the correct location.

My question is, what do I do with these files I do not want them where they
are. They could be important although nothing seems to be missing as it
were! Can I just cut'n paste them into where they should be, wherever that
might be? I suspect not and a specific process needs to be undertaken so any
help would be very much appreciated.

Trevor;
Those files are normally automatically deleted when the update is completed
and may now be safely deleted.
