Missing colors in Paint

I have a new computer, Windows Vista system, the colors are missing in the
paint program. No matter what color I click it comes out in black and white.
Any suggestions?

Is Colors selected?

Hit Ctrl-e ('attributes' menu item)and put the dot in 'colors' instead of
'black and white'

I would set B&W, apply, and set back to colors.

Hi Kimberly,

Close paint. Click the start orb and type regedit, then hit <enter> to open
the registry editor. In the left column, expand the keys to reach this one:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Applets\Paint

Click on the "paint" key (folder) and delete it. Close the registry editor,
then reopen paint. See if this helps.
