Missing Posts?

I was looking for a post I made a few days ago and noticed a break between
11/25 and 12/13. Did the missing posts get deleted from the system? If not,
how can I get to see them? Charles Ranheim

Hi,

No, they didn't get deleted. Download more headers or remove the limitations
(uncheck the "get xxx headers at a time" line under tools/options/read tab).

I changed the number of headers to get from 300 to 1000, and was able to
find my post. I can't select more than 1000 unless I uncheck the box as
suggested. With the box unchecked, I would get over 20,000. Charles Ranheim

Hi,

Yep, that's about how it works. I leave it unchecked, and have a newsgroup
message rule that deletes posts over 7 days old. In addition to deleting
when manually applied, it also has the affect of not downloading older posts
when resynchronizing.
