Hi all.. a really lame question here but recently, my MSN 7 / 7.5 started
acting up. I used to have a small button on the top-left corner (looks like
<> but pointing up and down instead) that could hide/show the Window Frame
(with the File, Contacts, Actions, Tools... buttons) but then the button
suddenly disappeared without a trace and now im stuck with the annoying
Window Frame there, with no way to hide it.

I've tried re-installing 7, 7.5, 8 and also Windows Live Messenger but i
cant get that button back.
Dunno why it's happening... one day it was there and one day it wasnt.

I'm suspecting that one of the adwares/search bars or toolbars i have on my
pc might have triggered this. Anyone hear anything about such things
happening?

If you're wondering why i have this stuff installed on my pc, well its not
that i deliberately installed them myself. I've tried running the Housecall
antivirus service and removed anything it picked up but the problem still
persists.

Oh, just so u know.. I've checked the MSN program in my sisters profile on
my pc and she has the hide/show button. So it looks like it only affects my
pc's Windows XP profile (administrator).

Anyone got any ideas why this happens and is there a permanent resolution?

Thanks in advance.
