Recently, when I opened Computer/Windows Explorer, the Size column was no
longer visible, then when I went to the Details List to reselect it, it's not
listed as an option. Size is a default detail, so I'm quite confused.
Any ideas on how to restore it?
Something to look for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex ?

I'm running Vista Ultimate SP1, all updates current.
Thanks.

Open that folder, and rightclick the column header that says "Name". You get
a menu with 'Size' to check. If not, the Properties of the folder have a
"Customize" tab to change the type of data displayed in that folder. You
probably want "Documents"

Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users.

Nah, that's the problem. Size is not listed on the right-click menu, nor is
it listed when I click More and open the Choose Details dialog box.
Size is missing in both the All Items and Documents templates, doesn't
matter which one I choose.

Hey guys, I found the solution for this!
It's something related to the Windows Seach 4.0 update. Remove this update
and the problem is gone!

Bye!!

I "chatted" with MS Tech Support and the guy fixed this for me by
deleting a line in the registry for "Cached Schema" under Folder
Properties. I didn't see exactly where in the registry it was, but it
worked like a charm.
