missing tabs on IE7?

since the feb14th update I have had weird problems. on start up my start menu
changes from blue to older looking tan color, and when i open up intrenet
explore7 the tabs and favorites is completely missing. I dont even have a
tools link anymore. I am no longer able to get updates of any kind. and today
my computer tells me I have no sound mixer installed, but my troubleshooter
tells me they work and are not conflicted. Please tell me someone knows how
to fix this.

The same happened to me.
Didn't mess around with it.
Went to windows add/remove components and unistalled IE and reinstalled.
Took 1 minute. And the update did cause it.
