Missing winks?

Hi,

I'm experimenting some rare issues, one specific user can't see nor use many
default winks, however, other users on the same computer account, can access
all the default winks. I tried resintalling it but no success, any ideas?

It is 8.1 (build 8.1.0178.00). also I'm using Windows XP Sp2 up to date.

Any suggestions?

Hi Marco,

Great. In that case it's easy to bring them back without losing anything. First, shut down
Messenger by right-clicking and choosing Exit.

Then click Start, then Run, and type the following:
%appdata%\..\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger

Open the folder that is the e-mail address you sign into Messenger with, click ObjectStore,
then drag Winks3 from the ObjectStore folder onto the Desktop.

Next, launch Messenger and sign in again, feel free to open up a conversation and check out
your default winks. Now exit Messenger again. Drag the Winks3 folder back into the
ObjectStore folder (yes a new Winks3 should be there now), when asked to Confirm the Folder
replace simply say Yes to All.

Now sign back into Messenger and you should have everything. All Winks are per-user, hence
why you only see this on the one account.
