Mobile Messaging working???

Is Mobile Messaging working in Live Messenger 8.1?
I've been trying for days now and no luck. I've done a search and found
some old references to April 2007 that said it was a bug..
MSN service status says everything is fine.
Message I get is when trying to send message to mobile device is:
This message was not sent because Mobile Messaging is temporarily
unavailable. Please try again later.
I recently updated my MSN Mobile settings and changed my provider; would
that be a factor?

Greetings Judy,

Mobile hasn't been working very well lately. However, in general, you need to wait about a
day before changes to your mobile account "transfer over" to Messenger and until then it
won't work.

Additionally, you'll need to sign out and back in to see if it's working properly as it only
loads the mobile configuration when you sign in.

So why isn't Microsoft telling everyone there is a problem? This is driving
me nuts for the last 3 weeks. When can we expect a fix? What exactly is
wrong? In today's technological world, it is reasonable to expect a fix w/in
a week. Server breaks, revert to saved image in under 24 hrs. Come on
Microsoft...

I agree!!! What's the story with mobile messaging? Not only am I getting
that stupid message 99% of the time (the 'temporarily unavailable' msg), when
I actually CAN sign on, only about half of the messages get through, both
inbound and outgoing. So...when's it getting fixed?!?

Is there any other information on this issue? I started having a problem
maybe over week ago. Whats up?

Yeah ,Mobile messaging is not working and it doesn't have anything to to with
our mobile account settings, And signing in and out is just a wasted step.
This is a Microsoft error. Can't say it's a cell phone carrier error because
it is happening with all carriers. So kinda narrows it down to Microsoft and
something thats been changed somewhere. It's always worked pretty good
before, then it just started with the error "This message was not sent
because Mobile Messaging is temporarily
unavailable. Please try again later" Is anyone working on the problem?
Looking into it? It's been really nice having that ability and now it's
gone.. It's amazing the rude spoilt people for a free perk/service that msn
offers, But anyway most of us really appreciate it and want to know what is
going on and why it isn't working and if anyone is currently trying to fix
it? Thanks..
