lippylilly,

Did/do you have a malware infection ? vimpborl.dll returns only one hit
on Google and that's in Dutch. Could be your security programs are
protecting the system well ... could be that it's working hidden behind
the scenes.
Suggest you show hidden files, folders, and system files :
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

and then have the system scanned at Kaspersky's Online Virus Scanner :
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

OR, if you can locate the file in the WINDOWS directory, just have that
file scanned at Kaspersky.
If you do locate it, please send a copy to me. Put into into a
compressed (zip file) password protected folder and send it to mowgreen
At gmailDOTcom. ( that won't be too hard to figure out, will it?
Please include the password.

And your problem as it related to Windows Update?

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Please submit a sample of "vimpborl.dll " to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition, unless told
otherwise, Virus Total will provide the sample to all participating vendors.

You can also submit a suspect, one at a time, via the following email URL...
private.php?do=newpm&u=?subject=SCAN

When you get the report, please post back the exact results.
