Money 2004 not synching with Pocket PC 2005

I recently upgraded both my Pocket PC device, as well as my PC workstation.
I don't know exactly when Microsoft Money stopped synching.

On the PC: WinXP Pro, Microsoft Money 2004 & System Pack, ActiveSync 3.7.1
On the PPC: Pocket PC 2005, Microsoft Money for the Pocket PC

ActiveSync tells me 'Attention required' for Microsoft Money. Resolve items
tells me: Items of one or more information types cannot be synchronized.
Disconnect and Reconnect. (Yeah, like I haven't done this a dozen times over
the past few days.) To view all error messages, blah blah blah, you must
connect to the computer via USB cable. (Which it is - duh - gotta love these
excellent diagnostics.) (I have a right to complain - I'm a software
developer. ;-)

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help,

- Joe Geretz -

Also, in the ActiveSync Options window, the Settings button is greyed out
when I set focus to the list entry for Microsoft Money Data. This is
strange. It should definitely allow me to configure the account I want to
sync.

Based on previous problems with money and syncing, I would say the problem
comes from the version difference. Did you install the pocketpc version of
money from your money 2005 cd?

Eric,

I am having the same problem as everyone else in this
message. Since I installed ActiveSync 3.7.1 with Money
2004 I am having this problem. In the setting while I am
connected with the USB cable I can't get in, but once I
get it disconnected it let me in to make changes. With
the USB cable connected the settings is gray out. I
rebooted my Ipaq H2215 to its initial stage meaning
exactly as I got it when I purchased it but I get the
same results. I uninstalled Money 2004 completely
including the folders left in the computer, reinstalled
it again with the same results. The only thing I have not
tried yet is to uninstall ActiveSync 3.7.1 completely, I
have done an uninstall that come with the program but
still the same problem.

I am going to try and get my computer and Ipaq H2215 back
the same way it was before to see if this will make a
difference. I will let you know the results.

This is frustrating I hope some can find a solution!

Thanks.

Ivan
