What does "go on and off" mean? If it means that you completely lose the
image on your monitor (i.e., it becomes black) then you have a hardware
problem. Since you have the problem on another monitor, that means your
video card needs to be replaced or, less likely, your video cable is
loose or needs to be replaced.
