Monitor now screwed up after service pack 2 install

I recently just installed the new service pack and when I rebooted my
computer my monitor is screwed up. the window is now about an 1 and a half
small on both sides. What the heck happened. I cant get if back to a full
screen I have tried a system restore but it wont work. Please help

Could be the video drivers need re-installing.

Did you check the settings on the monitor itself?
Have you installed the latest Windows XP video drivers?

ok....long time ago windows update had a update for my video card. When I
installed it it did the same thing to me but I was able to restore it back to
its original settings. I now just went in and found out that it changed the
setting on my screen refresh to 70 hertz now when I changed it to 85 hertz in
resized itself.
