Monitor "Out of Frequency"

Have just loaded SP2 and restarted computer. Display shows a small box with
message "Out of Frequency", then goes into power management mode and shuts
down monitor. Help please!

hit F8 right after the bios screen,
but before windows loads to enter safe mode

then from there, reduce your video resolution
