Monitoring Software

I've looked, unsuccessfully, for software that can monitor an report on
program
or services that run during the day on my computer. I've looked in
Administrative Tools
but didn't find any log files there. Task Manager|Services tab don't have a
sort by starting time.
I'm not really concerned with the services that start when my computer
starts.
I have an event sound for 'Open program' and it seems to be getting
triggered more than I would prefer.
Any software to monitor these events?

Thanks,
James

Maybe you have assigned the same sound to more than one event.

It's unclear why you want to do this, but there is always the free Process
Monitor.

If you want to spy on employees or family members (as opposed to just
wanting to know what is going on with your computer), eBlaster from
Spectorsoft is excellent.

Addendum:

On my first reading, I missed this part of your post:

So eBlaster isn't what you want at all. Process Monitor may do the job for
you.
