Monitors/nVidia geForce 6800

I just installed RC1 as a clean install on a drive. Install went well, sans
having to load drivers for my SATA hard drive/controller.

Everything seems fine with the exception of display issues. My current
setup is a nVidia geForce 6800 with a Dell 1905 FP and a Dell 2001 FP. It
seems intent on keeping my 19" as display 1 and 20" as display 2, which
really isn't an issue...just annoying.

My real problem is that I'm getting excessive screen tearing/flicker on my
2001FP. I don't seem to be getting it on my 1905FP for whatever sets of
reasons. I had this issue with the default display drivers, installed the
nVidia utility which seemed to fix it for about 10 minutes, then it resumed.
Is this a known issue with this particular video card and/or monitor? I
can't seem to find resolution here, no pun intended.

Thanks, and if I posted this in the wrong forum, just point me in the right
direction if you'd be so kind.

Did you try changing the refresh rate to 75 Hertz. I have the same video
card and did this awhile back - seems to help.

right click on desktop - personalize - display settings - advanced
settings - MONITOR tab

The only refresh rate available for me is 60 Hz. It has my card listed by
name/model number and I installed the software for the monitor itself which
it had no problem with. Guess is my 2001FP doesn't support anything else
anyway.

Sorry - I have a Samsung SyncMaster 213T and is has 3 rates in a drop down
menu - 60 - 70 -75. I don't know if these are controlled by the video card,
the monitor, or Vista - I'm sure someone will come along with a solution -
they always do.
