Its good to see that I was right all the time, even though everyone denied
the truth some months ago making fun of me and calling ME a troll, I was the
only one preaching the truth about vista. And you can see the truth unfold
now.
But WAIT. I have predicted far more that plain "vista is crap". You will see
EVERYTHING I have said will come to pass.
Copy pasting the info and dedicating it to Bill Yanair who keeps making fun
of posting news on a newsgroup along with comments.. (what a loser). Yanair
is the number 2 smoo in this newsgroup (after frank) and multiple troll.

Vista: None for All?

I've wondered after doing several channel checks on Windows Vista adoption.
The results, while arguably anecdotal, are grisly. Businesses aren't just
taking their time deploying. Some early adopters have switched back to
Windows XP. Yesterday, I spoke with a VAR buddy who has several large
clients in the Washington, DC metro area. His largest client, a sizable
software developer, is sticking with XP because he demanded it. For a short
time, the company president used Vista on a new, Sony VAIO T series notebook
but later switched back to XP.

"Everyone-every single person-that I put on Vista has switched back to XP,"
he said. "It's too complicated." From an administrator's perspective, my VAR
buddy likes some Vista deployment tools, but he viciously complained about
poor driver support, networking changes and end user complaints about UAC
(User Account Control) and Internet Explorer 7 security popups. In this
ringing Vista endorsement, one Microsoft Watch commenter claimed: "I'm an IT
consultant and I'm proud to announce I've formatted 450 Windows Vista
machines back to Windows XP to date. I have also prevented at least 1,000
Windows Vista sales."

I worked as chief engineer for a company called Country Computers for 2
years. I am a big follower of Vista and I showed people both its flaws and
its benefits and let them make their own decision. Most people decided to
go with Vista, these were the people who had heard about it, but noone they
knew had it or used it. The ones who stuck with XP were the ones that had
'friends' that used it and they said it was crap.

Vista is not more difficult to use, it is simply different to use. The
start search is a wonderful innovation. No more clogging up your screen
with a big menu when you click all programs, and you shouldnt even have to
when you can just type the name. Also, Vistas networking is much easier for
the end user. The "Diagnose and repair" option is much more advanced than
XP's "repair", also it is much easier and safer to connect to a network with
the Public/Private/Work option and the "Wireless networks available" popup.
Windows updates is a lot easier to use because it is built into the
operating system rather than the browser. You may not have noticed, but I
require far less restarts on Vista after updates than I did on XP. Also,
Windows Defender is bundled with Vista, making it far safer for the end
user. Before there was no built in Microsoft anti-spyware, which meant it
was a fresh target right out of the box.

Overall, Vista is a far superior operating system when looked at from all
angles. Don't just follow the crowd and say it sucks. I urge you to ask
"Why?" when people say "Vista sucks!". I have done it to all my
band-wagoning friends and they all were speechless.

Nick, Im not joking...

I could write an encyclopedia explaining the DARN reasons Vista sucks!

I have posted in this newsgroup since the betas and Release Candidates the
flaws, problems,
bugs, bad concepts, bad design, horrid performance, unnecessary and stupid
changes of vista..

You name it.. I have posted it explained in depth a great deal... but there
is so much I have not even posted about 50% of the stupidness of vista!

IM NOT JOKING.. Im very serious.

Vista is badly designed...for so many reasons.

How can you be a "chief engineer" and say that you like vista??? Oh com
on!!!!
Sorry man I don't want to insult you...

Perhaps you are seeing the OS from a pure technical point of view. I see it
holistically...
including ease of use, human - machine interaction - and I see it also from
the view point of the common user.
Vista is not ergonomically designed. Its not SMART. Sorry, if you don't see
it, what can I say?

I have trained hundreds of people on the use of computers.. I know how they
think exactly..
I know their reactions, I know what they want.. I am talking here ALWAYS
from the perspective both
of a super geek, but also of the viewpoint of the simple user...

vista has to be ONE SIZE FITS ALL... and that is not easy to do...

Since you are an engineer you must know that keeping something SIMPLE and
effective needs MORE work and is harder to achieve.
This is faaaaaaarrrrr away from what vista is.

Vista seems like it has been put together by MONKEYS..... im not kidding. It
has failed the power user, it has failed the businesses,
it has failed the common folk who want to enjoy their computer.

Sorry... you have to think again.

Best to ignore Tibery-OS and his anti-Vista buddies. They forget that the
same arguments were leveled against XP aways back, or maybe they were not
around for that and just don't know..

Because I was sure you and your vistafan diehard buddies would give that
STUPID excuse... thats why I posted the "clarify your vista post"
45 minutes before you posted this post.

Your lame excuses do not work anymore. Vista is proving itself as a total
failure each day.. and you will be seeing this
reaction more and more from the media and everywhere.

You can cling on to your vista all you want...

the world is understanding what vista is all about, they are not stupid,
and they moving forward, leaving you and vista behind.

The same arguments were leveled against Windows Me and the arguments
were correct so you were saying? Or are you saying that Windows Me rocks
and you dual boot with it and recommend it to all your friends?

I was lucky enough to avoid windows Me on my own computers. I later got it
only
for historical interest to study why it failed so incredibly well.

I was also lucky then because almost on one else had windows Me, because
they kept formatting and installing windows 98

But windows Me was an intermediate release from MS so they could make some
cash before they released XP that was their flagship.

Windows Vista however a major release after FIVE YEARS!!! and has the
potential to do so much harm to people that its scary. Its a major release
and MS is trying to force it on to people as much as they can.. fortunately
the news is spreading (as I predicted) that vista is crap and there is
much demand for XP and people are formatting vista and installing XP.

Vista will do so much harm to Microsoft and not even MS has realized what is
going on yet.. lol

I think Vista is the same as Windows Me and it was pushed out only to
make money and the real upgrade will be Vienna. Heck, Vienna might even
have the file system Vista was supposed to have and Compiz-Fusion. If
that happens and they get rid of the ineffective and buggy WGA crap, I
might even buy it.

:-)
You are probably right.... Vista started out to be longhorn a true
upgrade....

but along the way they hacked it down to vista that is turning out to be a
horrendous
distortion disfiguration and mutilation of XP. They took something that
worked well and totally destroyed it!

They have to push it, so they can keep the money flowing.. their only real
avenue
is the new PC's but people don't want that either.. lol

I think that Vista's design is much better than Windows XP. I don't
understand that some people argue against it. My Vista Home Premium is
running perfect without no problems at all.
