More SP 2 Acces Denied

I'm having "Access Denied" problems like a lot of other people. I get this
message when I try to install SP 2 via the internet, and when I use the SP 2
CD from Microsoft I get the same results.
Following advice that i got in here I went here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873148 and followed the instructions. But
when I got to Step 3b, I could not find the registry subkey noted in Step 2d.
How do I find it?

This is my first time here and can't believe that just before coming here I
had come from one more attempt to get SP2. My older computer's support for
SP1 runs out on the 10th so I've been pretty desperate about getting SP2
before that. I've ordered the CD THREE times and never get it. I've tried
downloading it but can't,
I'm not sure why. At least,I feel better knowing that something's going on
and other people are having this problem. I think I will call the
fee-for-service people
($35 per event) then go from there. I'm too tired of this and, although it's
so wrong that we have to pay to get this done, I have a new website to create
and I've been wasting waaaay too much time on this! They gave me my money
back the last time I used these services because the boss didn't like the way
I was ignored!! So, since I'm already ignored with no recourse, I'd rather be
ignored and later get my money back and have documentation about this
situation. Then, go from there after that

Bob;
Try downloading SP-2 from a friends or work.

It is usually best to use the Network Installation CD you ordered or
downloaded rather than the Express Installation offered by Windows/Microsoft
Update.

What registry key did your Find show got the
"Error 5: Access is denied"
in step 2e in the Setupapi.log?

The sample given, vnd.ms.radio, would be in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT,
which Setupapi.log abbreviates HKCR\vnd.ms.radio. There are other
hives besides HKCR - CURRENT_USER, LOCAL_MACHINE, USERS,
and CURRENT_CONFIG. Setupapi.log would abbreviate these as
HKCU, HKLM, HKU, and HKCC. Go to the hive indicated in step 2e
in *your* Setupapi.log, pop open the plus signs, and scroll to the key.
