Warning: In this post I will be bashing Vista again. If you dont like
reading the truth, and only reading stuff that will massage your vista
luving ears, please move on to another post.
I was not aware of this, but an online gamer called me with problems
of installing and running online games, like that of yahoo...
I thought it was strange, and I was on vista at the moment so I just
told her to turn off uac and try installing the game active-x again.
I tried it on XP and it worked perfectly...
She tried it and continued complaining... so I did a quick search, and
low and behold the facts came pouring in from outcries of outrage from
many sites and bloggers.
NOTE: I dont play games so I was not aware of all this...
Apparently Vista has caused a BIG headache to online gamers of yahoo,
and other sites, even its own MS games are not all compatible.
To my astonishment, MS denies everything... Oh how Microsoft of that! LOL
Yahoo has the courtesy to take the blame on itself by saying on an
incompatible game page: (for example)
Your operating system appears to be Microsoft Windows Vista. Please note
that we have not fully certified Bewitched for compatibility with Vista.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

So what is this vista? Some crap dictator that everyone has to certify
with just to get a game published? LOL
Vista stinks boy oh boy....
Anyway.. I found the solution, you right click on the browser and run as
administrator for the first time to install the activex game, and then
every time you want to play again you have to do that.
It is a chore, but the alternative would be to format and install XP..
hehehe.. (This seemed like a nice idea to the gamer but I actually said
NO.. lol Im not sure if my saying no is such a good idea.. lol vista sucks)
Replacing Vista with XP thing that seems that almost everyone else on
this planet is doing!
Another solution would be to enable the hidden true administrator of
Vista and have the user log in always with that.. but
that would remove the protection that vista claims it has...
CRAP.. you get a computer to use it.. if you wanted everything locked
down you would uplug it from the internet and take out the dvd drives
and play only MS solitaire!
GESH!
</end of rant!>
