Mouse - driver problem Vista 32 bit.

I had to replace my Microsoft Intellimouse. I updated the driver at the
same time.

All appears to be OK except scroll speed. I installed the new driver,
set my preferences including scroll speed (set to fast) and everything
worked. Well it worked until the computer went into sleep mode, when it
then came out of sleep mode but while the speed settings appear to be
unchanged the effective scroll speed appears to be slow or maybe a little
faster, but certainly not the speed they were before. I can get my desired
speed up by rebooting and then resetting the speed. ... Mmmm I can't
recall exactly what happens after the reboot. I seem to remember that the
settings show up as the default values and I can rest set them to fast,
which works until I reboot or the computer goes into sleep mode.

I could not find anything on the Microsoft web site, but that does not
surprise me. :-)

speed. It works fine until the sleep mode kicks in. For now I am shutting
down the sleep mode.

I've got the identical problem and have learned to live with it. Th
only answer I've been able to find is to ignore the MS drivers and jus
use the ones built into Vista. The drawback is that you can't use som
of the more "advanced" features of said rodent

I am sorry to hear that. Maybe someone will see this and have a
solution.

Does anyone know if this is a known bug?
