I have an HP n9450f with Vista 64. The mouse has started freezing for
several seconds at a time. I have tried using a different mouse, but it
makes no difference. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Do these to clear corruption and repair/replace damaged/missing system
files.

Start - type in Search box - COMMAND find at top of list - RIGHT
LICK - RUN AS ADMIN

sfc /scannow

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource
Checker (SFC.exe) program
generates in Windows Vista cbs.log

Then run checkdisk - schedule it to run at next start and then Apply OK your
way out then restart.

==========================

If a 3rd party mouse look manually for updated drivers to
install/re-install. Also look manually for
other major driver updates which can also affect the mouse's (and each
other's) performance.

Manually look at manufacturer's sites for drivers - and Device Maker's
sites.

Thank you for your suggestions. The problem seems to have cleared up
spontaneously. Very strange.
Thanks again.
