mouse froze even after restart

my mouse froze and even after restarting the mouse won't respond. I tried 3
different mouse(s) and none work

USB mice? If so, get an adapter and try it on the PS2 port. You could
also look in the BIOS to make sure that the USB is enabled.

Update your video driver.
What kind of mouse, i.e., Bluetooth, etc.?
Turn off, temporarily, any fancy desktop background and screen saver.
