Mouse hangs up

New computer with Vista. Every few minutes, the mouse just hangs up for
about 10-15 secs, then starts working again. Comments?

Have you tried a different mouse?

It's the HP mouse that came with the computer. You'd think it would work. I
also used it on my old computer and it does the same thing.
