Mouse Will not move when switching users

In the screen where you select the users for logon (when switching from one
user to the other) the mouse will not move in the user select screen. I have
to unplug the mouse (microsoft USB Mouse) and plug it back in to get the
mouse cursor to respond. Any idea on how to fix this problem?

There should be a update for Microsoft Mice and Keyboard used on Vista that
improves stability with the USB stack:

I have the same problem on mine new HP Pavillion 9670 laptop.
This solution didn`t work for me.
Anybody another solution?
