I would think for anyone to help solve your morphing pointer, you should
tell them the type and nomenclature of the device, how it is attached or
communicates with your system.
What changes you made to your system prior to having this problem. Is there
any "stuff" you can do on the desktop that this does not happen? Just some
details about the mouse
and anything you have tried and results.
This could be as simple as going to the Manufacture of your Mouse and
getting the latest software/drivers.
You could try disconnecting, if it is a USB connection and reconnecting. You
could try a different mouse. You could try this mouse on a different system.
If it is a wireless, I would go ahead and check for new drivers/software and
reinstall the mouse.
With more information about your mouse and some when, what info someone here
will be able to head you in the right direction.
