Mouse Right Click Problem - IE7

I've recently started using IE7 on Vista Home Premium. Everything starts
off well with my mouse on the Internet but after awhile (about 30min or
so), the right click doesnt work - doesnt activate drop down menu. My IE
often acts like its busy at about the same time and sometimes its not
possible for me to start working on a new IE window. When this happens,
I also realize Task Manager cannot be launched which I had hoped to find
out if certain programs were taking up too much resources. Right-click
problem happens EVERYTIME - starts off fine but stops working halfway.
However, logging off and coming back in solves the problem but it starts
again after awhile. Someone pls help. Thank you v much!

Hi Wanderlust,

Welcome to Vista Forums. arty:

If this is just happening in IE7, then you might have a bad add-on. You
might try this tutorial to see if it will help.

Probably some kind of Google or Yahoo bar and other add ons with IE7.
Try Firefox, www.mozilla.com/firefox It's free.

Click Start > type Internet Options > click it > select the Advanced (tab)

I run into this problem on my IE7 / Vista too. I have fired off the
task manager prior to the problem and noticed that the memory
allocation for IE starts to climb until it is using up almost all
available memory. At this point, it appears there is not enough left
for it to run correctly. Closing IE tabs and windows does not seem to
help so I suspect it is a resource leak bug in IE7. (Memory is not
being released when IE is done with it.) If I catch it in time, I can
restore features by exiting IE and then restarting it. If I push too
far, only logging out and then logging back in seems to free it up.

Hi wanderlust,

I have noticed the same issue with my machine. It's happened every couple
days for the past month, and I have been scouring Microsoft's help site
looking for more information. I am glad you posted.

The response seems to be that there must be a bad add-on to IE7, however I
do not add third-party add-ons. I hope an update will solve this problem.
In the meantime, I will be keeping an eye on this thread.
