Hello, I'm running MS Vista Ultimate. I'm currently using a Logitech G5. (The
first model, not V2), The problem occurs when I update my system files, or
just install a new program or just about do anything to the system registry
or drivers.

After restarting the OS, my mouse won't move or work at all, I've tried
plugging it into all the other USB-slots, the drivers are installed and
everything, but no. It's dead.

It's mostly fixed when I revert the changes through restore-points, but all
the new drivers are gone, and also the game/program I installed, which is
normal. Sometimes even that won't work. What's wrong with my mouse? I've
reinstalled my Vista a lot now.

Seems like I'm the only one having this problem, help!

Do you have the latest version:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/359&cl=us,en

You should ask Logitech and see what they have to say:

Yeah I've tried mailing them the question a month ago, but still no answer.

Hopefully you will get an answer from your recent forum post.
Did you also look in the forums for something similar?
