Hi

Please share with me some steps to follow- there's a second DC in the domain
that will be moved to a different subnet in the same domian. Both are running
W2k3. Thx in advance.

Hello babylon5,

In AD sits and services prepare create a new site and add the new subnet
to it. Run support tools dcdiag /v. netdiag /v and repadmin/showrepl to check
for errors, if some exist slove them first.

Now change the ip addresses from the DC to the new addresses, DG/DNS/WINS
and shut it down, move the DC in AD sites and services to the new site. After
booting check connectivity to the main site and run again the support tools
to check for problems.

Do not shutdown the DC longer as the tombstone lifetime, depending on the
OS version and installation between 60 to 180 days.

Best regards
