Regardless of the fact that I am posting this from Ubuntu, I still have a
requirement for Windows due to the fact that my job requires it. With
that being said, I am wondering if there is a correct procedure for
moving registered Microsoft applications from XP to Vista as I have both
the Office 2007 H&S edition (3 licenses) and MS Visio installed on my
Windows machine and would like to move them to a new Vista box in the
near future. If I uninstall the apps on their current boxes, will that
"unregister" them or do I need to make a phone call or something like
that? I am sure that others have had to do this in the past so what have
your experiences been like.

It is definitely doable.

You will have to install them from the original CDs/DVDs though. If you run
into any problems, which I doubt, you may call MS (1-800-MICROSOFT) and they
will resolve the issue.

Ok, thanks. I still have DVDs that the products were shipped on so I
should be able to make this work without alot of pain.

Absolutely. MS is well aware of such situations. Don't you worry.
