Seems that I also have a common problem in that with IE7 loaded, movie maker
starts but after about 5 seconds crashes with this error :

AppName: moviemk.exe AppVer: 2.1.4026.0 ModName: qedit.dll
ModVer: 6.5.2600.2180 Offset: 0001b2af

I am not doing or loading anything at this stage
I have un-ticked all the filters but it still fails.
I un-installed IE7 and it worked a treat - as it did with IE6 - but I WANT
to use IE7 !

Any ideas gratefully received

Required reading IMHO before installing IE7:

Sandi's Installation Tips <= FOLLOW THESE TIPS TO THE LETTER!

[And I strongly recommend using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx as the installation source,
not Automatic/Windows Update.]
