Movie Maker Imports dvr-ms Files?

Can Vista's Movie Maker import dvr-ms files from Media Center's TV DVR
mode? Can it import mpeg 2 files?

Yes, it can import Media Centre recordings. I have done this a couple of
times, when editing short TV recordings that I uploaded onto Youtube.

I cannot say for sure about MPEG2, as I have never tried myself, but I would
be very surprised if it could not import such a ubiquitous format. It is
the standard encoding for digital TV and DVDs after all.
