Hi!
I've 3 File Servers having nearly about 500GB each. Setup is in a way that
FS1 has data of FS2 and FS2 also has data of FS1, so both the FS1 and FS2 are
replicating with each other. Also, these 2 FS's, FS1 and FS2 are replicating
there data to FS3(Data Recovery site).

Now FS1 and FS2 are short of space and we are putting Dell storage device.
Now once we put this additional stoage, i think we need to setup the DFSR
again as drive path will be changed. Do you think its good discision to
create Only replication group and move the data to storage device and after
that disable old replication groups and create new replication folders for
the FS1 and FS2 and FS3 with new path location.

What can be the problems if anyone has donr this before, Please help me.

Thanks.

Use robocopy to copy the data to the new storage. Then delete the
replication group(s) and recreate them pointing to the new storage.

Thanks for your advice.
Please let me know if there is anything that needs to be considered.
As i'm only making the changes on Replication groups and not touching
anything in DFS management console.

Please give me your suggestions.

You have to delete the replication group in the DFS management console. I
would then stop the DFSR service on each member of the replication group and
go to each member and delete the DFSRPrivate folders. You might have to
change what you see in explorer to show hidden and system files. Robocopy
the data to the new location (check the switches so you move the security
also, and you might want to create a log of what was copied) Then use the
DFS management console to recreate the replication group.

Basically you are just deleting the replication group and starting over from
scratch by prestaging the data to be replicated so initial replication
completes earlier.
