Hi,
I have a 2003 Server, with XP Pro on all workstations, is there a way to
give read/write permissions to files but stop the enduser from moving the
files or folders?
Thanks Craig

Hello ,

Do they also have the delete permission? If yes, what i assume, you can't.
Teach them the difference between copy and move.

Not really. This is a frequent request, as users often mistakenly drag
folders around in Explorer. It's a pain.

You might be able to implement something like this if you set up some really
granular permissions, but anytime someone needed a folder created I think
you'd have to do it yourself and reset this. I've never found a good way.
