I have two servers running windows 2008 server standard.
I need to move our virtual machine to another host. I've run the export and
then the import process. I received an error and the machineon the new host
wouldnt start.

is there somoething more to this process?

thanks.

What is the error? If you create a new dummy VM on the new server with
"install operating system later" will the VM start? Do you have
Virtualization and DEP enabled in the BIOS?

I tried to move my virtual 2k3 server(i was temporarily running exchange on
it) - I got it moved(the problem was the trend antivirus which i
uninstalled), now when i boot up it hangs at the applying computer settings.

If I go an remove the two network adapters (one for lan the other for san) I
can get in. I run the integration disk within the virtual server, then go
back to hyperv manager and add the two adaptersback. I'm able to login run
the integration disk again to pick up the adapters, configure them they
work, I tell the VM to restart and then it hangs again. This is happening on
both the server that originally hosted the VM and now on the new one.

any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed
