I upgraded to windows XP professional basically to get my MP3 player
recognised.
And it worked but other things did not--.My writer drive was not
compatable-so I installed a new one which does cd and dvd. When I tried to
copy dvd the drive failed so I could not copy cd or dvd. After much research
I found that this is a microsoft problem and that a fix will arrive in a
future service pack. I managed to get the drive to write cd again by doing a
system restore to an earluer date ( before I had tried to copy dvd.) and it
worked. I will not attempt to copy dvd now untill the fix arrives. A few days
later I connect my MP3 player and it is not recognised.
BACK TO SQUARE 1.
I am supposing it is to do with the system restore. If I undo the system
restore I am back to the copier problem.
Does anyone know where I go from here Please!
