MPG Videos Studder/Jumpy on WMP12

Hi All,

Running Windows 7 with Media Player version 12. Playback of WMV files is
pretty good, but MPEG videos studder a lot and make them unwatchable most of
the time. Never had this problem in XP or Vista on this same system. Any
buffer or video settings I should check for?

About my system.

Dell Inspiron 530S
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz
2 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2400 (newest Windows 7 drivers installed)

Im having the same problem myself also.
Its not every mpeg video but several do this studdering.
The seek bar on the bottom stops for a second on mine and everything plays in slow motion.
No ideas on a fix.
