I'm running Vista, and IE 7
I was running XP Pro and IE 7
Since moving to Vista I cannot access a job site web cam. It just refreshes
and I get nothing.
I tried changing some of the Active X settings but not getting anywhere
Disabling the firewall doesn't fix it

Hello Dave,

The website requires the install of an ActiveX control 'AXIS Media control'.
The only way I have managed to get to install and work is by starting IE7
as administrator (right-click on IE link, run as administrator). Running
IE as administrator is not generally a good idea, as Protected Mode is then
off.

Hope this helps.

Hello Dave,

Further to my last post - install the ActiveX control via the run as admin
method, then close IE and relaunch normally. The control will work fine.
It just needs the admin privileges for the actual installation of the
control.

Nice quality cam, btw.
