I've done some more investigation on this and it appears that it will let
you map an http:// address to a network drive but not an https:// one,
although I understand WebDAV defaults to https for connection and transfer.
At the moment port 80 is closed on my firewall and that is the way I'd like
to keep it.
Is there a way of getting round this problem? I don't really want to set up
an ftp server and send passwords over the net in clear.
