I have a SAN that I am trying to use in my test lab. I have two Windows
2008 servers attached to it with Failover clustering installed. Both
servers can see the disk no problem. When I confirm the cluster
configuration it does not see any valid disks for clustering. Can I assume
that this SAN is not supported on Windows 2008? It is an IBM FastT700
(DS4000).

I have confirmed with IBM that this SAN is supported for Windows 2008
Failover clustering. I still get an error that no disks suitable for
cluster disks.

Then obviously something is wrong with your configuration. What specific
tests are failing when you run the storage validation tests...what errors
are reported?

You'll probably need to contact IBM to assist you with this.

I have contacted IBM and they are pointing the finger at MS. I am getting
an error that there are no valid disks available -they have peristent
reservations.

Are you running the Cluster Validation tests? What specific tests are
failing or does it just skip the storage tests all together?

John
