I was trying to find the location of my Outlook 2007 exe file and did a
search for it in C:|Program Files\Microsoft\Microsoft Office (Vista). I
think I may have checked a wrong box but... Now CO:\Program Files\Microsoft
is not visible in Explorer, I know it is still there as my Office 2007
applications still work fine.

How do I make that folder visible again and by the way what is the location
of my Outlook.exe file?

Thanks in advance... Bob

(PS, I also posted to the Office group as I didn't know which was
appropriate... sorry)

Bob

As a guess, perhaps the 'wrong box' you checked was for the 'Hidden'
attribute. To verify this, from Windows Explorer: Tools\Folder Options click
on the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click on 'Show hidden files
and folders'.

Click OK. Check to see if your folder is back. If it is, remove the Hidden
attribute via the properties dialog.

I think you are correct about my checking that box. I really hate to sound
like a dunce but I don't see any Tools tab or dropdown menu, I did change
that setting in another file manager that I have and the folder reappear so
you were right on that score. All files now appear including Outlook.exe

You may not have the classic menu showing (File, Edit, View, Tools, Help).
To show it, click on Organize, hover the mouse over 'Layout' and click on
'Menu Bar' in the resulting fly out menu. Glas your problem has been solved.
