I am having practically the same problem. I don't even have Microsoft Office
installed except for the free readers. It all came with the computer and I
used it during the trial but then let it go. Yet I get this type of issue and
it makes me think maybe I should just not use the Automatic Updates program
although I like it for updating Windows. I cannot seem to figure out how to
set it just to update Windows XP and maybe WordPad and/or Works. I hate
wasting a lot of time trying to figure these things out. It should not be so
difficult for MS to make this easy. We're not all techi geeks nor do we
necessarily have time for this stuff! Feeling not so Merrily.
