MS: Please Fix svchost.exe problem

This bug has me and apparently many others fighting this problem all the
time instead of getting any work done. It's seems that it is related to
Windows Update.

I have noted the conspicuous absence of replys from anyone at Microsoft when
this problem gets posted - and it gets posted plenty everywhere.

Time to fess up! Stand up, take responsibility, and fix the problem. (or
maybe I'll buy a Mac next time)

Try deleting the contents of this folder (or the folder itself) & reboot:

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore

If no joy, try deleting the contents of this folder (or the folder itself) &
reboot:

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution

UPDATE 0x80072f76 error when trying microsofts auto update site. I run Juno
Turbo withIE7 could not get into update site. tried shutting off turbo speed,
but will not even load my home page IE7 locks up and hangs half way though
loading web page, But if I set the tubro slider to 2nd from the slowest
setting guess what microsoft update works I just got done updateing to Media
player 11 and also windows defender with no problems no errors. never had any
of these problems with IE6 and Juno Turbo ran turbo at max in past with no
problems. Guess I have to slow down turbo to update and back to turbo max for
web

Such "internet accelerators" usually cause problems accessing Windows
Update. Don't "slow it down", disable it completely.

Cannot disable juno turbo completely or shut off causes IE7 to hang when

Hi Gary:

I agree!!! I wish MS would just fix the damm problem, I have found over 100
posts related to this problem on other sites. I have an Incident
report(SRZ061102000815) ongoing with MS and have been batteling with them for
over a month now!

This has been causing me no end of headaches.

That makes it sound even more like it is the problem.
In any event, it has been long known that download accelerators and other
such utilities cause problems with Windows Update.
Remove the accelerator, fix IE-7 then try to update.

If anyone finds a solution (not a work around) I'd be greatful if they post
the info on here...

I have a few machines with this issue... all of which are high profile user!

If you cannot use Juno as your ISP without using the Turbo accelerator, time
for a new ISP.

I removed defender from the said PC's all is now fine!!
