Hi, Got some problems after update Windows in regestry. Keep telling me to
download regfix at www.ms-repair.com, but I don't get this site in my
browser IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519.
Is there any other perfect tools for checking reg?

Please advise!

You would be better posting your specific issues.
Registry repair tools sometimes do more damage than good.
If you do not know exactly what is being modified, why as well as the
consequences, you probably should not do it.
That link and tool has nothing to do with Microsoft.

It goes here, Maurice :
hxxx://registrycleaner32.cxx/xhop=fixinet (munged)
Could be a symptom of an adware infestation. It's most likely "goad"
ware. One would be prompted to download the "program" and run it to
discover/correct registry issues. It will find something but one would
have to purchase said "program" to correct it.
It's a scam.

RLM, go here to take preliminary steps towards scanning your system for
the presence of malware :

Hi,
Thanks 4 y're reply. It seems, after running hijack: this came up
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
http://www.startsiden.no/
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\System\panels\blank.ht m
NOT SURE about the second change! What do I do?
Is this something I should remove?
Answer to Q: I got a link after having several problems, to go to this link.
Might be wrong adress, but the first time, I'got a program which found 228
serious errors in reg. After fixing this, it worked, but then my HDD crash so
bad, I had to replace it. Now I have new HDD, and another problem has come.
After scanning with Symantec Norton System Works, Antivirus, Internet aso.
there doesnt seem to be any problem. But, by running reg fix tool, it finds
228 errors ????
Is there any good reg fix programs?

Using HJT, highlight this line and have HJT remove it
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
http://www.startsiden.no/

Stop using Repair Registry Pro ! Be sure you have completely de-installed every last trace of it.

Why do you recommend Rune to remove Startsiden (which is a perfectly
legitimate Norwegian Portal) as his homepage? That has nothing to do
with his registry and/or spyware problem.

The other advice (which is to not use Repair Registry Pro, or for that
matter most other registry "repair" software) is sound advice though.

Hello Denis & Rune,
Sorry, I didn't pay attention to the Norway domain. My goof.
Retract my statement on http://www.startsiden.no/
