MS Security Bulletins April 10

I saw the thread on this and tried windows update and the downloads
worked..HUR..wait..now the shield shows up and says the update 931784 needs
to be downloaded when i just did..so it downloaded AGAIN..clock still does
not update.
MS needs to update there company as this is a bad joke on the windows
users..Still haven't found what error message 08x8007F0DA is..that is what i
got the past few days on auto update failure.

Do you remember the KB929338 install looping threads? The very same
applies to KB931784 too - like *all* kernel updates BTW.

So, what to do to get it fixed?

Try downloading the update manually via DownloadCenter:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...d-a9f1eae19b51

*Save* the file to a folder your harddisk (let me call it "C:\Downloads"),
do *not* execute it from within your browser.

Afterwards type the following under "Run" in the Start menu:
"C:\Downloads\WindowsXP-KB9231784-x86-ENU.exe" /o

The parameter "/o" (o like overwriteOEM) should do the trick for you.
Note the blank between the last quote sign and the parameter /o!
