The program Streets & Trips 2006 loads fine, but I can't get the system to
recognize the MS GPS that came with it. Is there a special process to go
through, or is this not operable at this time?

Thanks

PS - Vista is working great otherwise.

Much to my surprise, the driver installed and worked just fine on my
ThinkPad R51 laptop. I'm not sure what to suggest, but at least here's your
confirmation that somebody else got it to work...

You did install the custom driver from the CD, right?

I also have it installedand working.

However, while I never had problems on the road - very precise -
I often cannot connect in my home, probably because of interference
from wifi, wireless phones, etc. No problem when connecting in
other indoor locations.

That obviously is not useful information.
I should have stated that I use a Bluetooth adapter to connect
my receiver. If I connected it with USB cable, my problem
possibly would not occur.

When I try to install the driver, I get the error message "Windows found
driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to
install it. The system cannot find the file specified."

I'm using a USB cable. The program works great in XP.

Does it tell you which file it's looking for? Is there a Browse button so
you can manually point it to the correct folder?

It does not describe the file it is looking for, I have it browsing the CD
fille (and subfiles) of GPS Software.

Did you ever find a fix for vista w/ gps? I've been looking for hours and
can't find anything on MS website, or Pharo's website that even mentions
vista....

Please let me know if you found anything... also, what version of windows
are you using... I'm using win vista 64, I'm wondering if I should step it
down to the 32 bit version...

Thanks for any help.

I could not find a fix. I stepped down to 32, and I still can't get it to
work. Frustrating.
