MS Update Site

I was using the MS Update site today and my Norton Internet Security alerted
me that the update site was trying to obtain my credit card details.
Naturally I blocked it. MS what is going on?

Since Windows/Microsoft Update does not want any personal information, this
may be a false positive from Norton or some other malware is already on the
computer.
Make sure Norton is updated and check for spyware:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/security.htm

The only information Windows Update does get is related to Windows version,
currently installed updates etc.
That is needed so the correct updates are downloaded and installed.
