Does Vista support Equation 3.0? Or is there a new program?

The Equation Editor is a utility that you use (usually in Word) to be able
to enter mathematical equations that use multiple lines and mathematical
symbols.

On the Insert ribbon in Word 2007 select Equation inthe Symbols section.
This opens the equation editor where you can choose what symbols (or just
type in characters) and then insert them into your document.
