XPHome SP2. Does anyone find after running the WMF patch at MS Update
(KB912919), that the Windows Picture and Fax viewer now causes Windows
Explorer to crash? The specifics are that if you open a folder with pictures
which is set to display as thumbnails and then click to open a picture into
the Picture and Fax Viewer then open to full screen (start slide show),
pause and then advance through a few pictures with the mouse, right click to
show the property sheet, close properties and then close the viewer and
immediately open a new picture into a new instance of the viewer and then
close it this action causes Explorer to crash. This happens every time I run
this cycle, the key factor is opening the properties sheet, without that
there is no crash. The event log entry for the crash is 'The shell stopped
unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.' The source is Winlogon. One
further anomaly was the patch was noted to be 196 KB but jumped to 409 KB
during the download. Thanks.

Installing the patch produces no such abnormality
on the computers I installed it on.
