After applying this patch I am getting a message of invalid printer
destination from my Great Plains Profit software. Without the patch
installed it works fine. Would be nice to get this fixed so I can do year
end close out. Any ideas?

If you followed Microsoft's first advise and deregistered the "SHIMGVW.DLL" component you must re-reregister it to avoidt the kind of problems you mention.

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Run..."

Enter the following string into the "Open" field: regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

Click "OK" to re-register.

I also owe Jo Ann a word of thanks. I also had unregistered
SHIMGVW.DLL a few days ago per MS's article and had not
re-registered it. Re-registering it cleared up the freezing video/
no audio problems the new 912919 (GDI32.DLL) was causing
with my Hauppauge MPEG encoder card under Win2K SP4.
