I am signed is as Administrator but when I go to the MS site for
updates it says I have to be signed in as administrator for the site to
check my computer for updates.

What's up with this?

TIA

This error may occur if the Internet Explorer settings are preventing ActiveX
controls from running.

Enable ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer
Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Select the Security tab.
Select the Internet Web zone icon.
To adjust the security level, click Default Level.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Try Windows Update again.
